Ling-Huei holds a doctorate in Marriage and Family Counseling from Denver Seminary. She has also studied at Grace Theological Seminary [mDiv, 1998], Capital Bible Seminary [mA, 1989] and National Central University [BS, 1979]. In 2008 she is licensed in Taiwan as a counseling psychologist.

Ling-Huei has served 20 years in international ministry with Avant Ministries [formerly Gospel Missionary Union]. She has previous counseling experience in agency, counseling center, school, and church contexts. She has also worked as a computer science engineer, dean of students, and seminary faculty. Her education, training, professional experience and multicultural experience make her a unique Christian counselor in many ways.

Ling-Huei grew up in Taiwan, and has lived many years in North America and South America. She is multicultural and multilingual. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, English, and Spanish.

Dr. Hui-Shiang Chao grew up in Taiwan and worked in Christian ministry in Taipei County for 3 years. She graduated with an MDiv from China Evangelical Seminary in 1995. She then had the opportunity to study in Colorado, where she received her MA in Counseling Ministry from Denver Seminary in 1999 and PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado in 2005. She was licensed as a professional counselor in Colorado from 2005-2009. In 2009 she is licensed in Taiwan as a professional counselor.

Returning to Taiwan, she taught at China Evangelical Seminary, where she was a full-time assistant professor in the Pastoral Counseling department from 2005-2009. Since 2009, she invests most of her time as a professional counselor and supervisor. Currently she works with CCG as a part-time counselor.

Dr. Hui-Shiang Chao provides counseling for individual issues, such as self image, emotional problems, family of origin, addictive behaviors, etc. She is also trained to assist couples and families with a system point of view. She has a particular interest in integrating psychological and spiritual views to offer help for people in need. She is available to provide care in Mandarin Chinese and English.

Sophia Yu-Chi Chou holds an MA in Counseling from Lincoln Christian Seminary (2009,) a BS in Religious Studies Ministry from Central Christian College of the Bible (2006,) and an AS in Early Childhood Education from St. Louis Community College (2003.) She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois, USA (2009.)

Sophia has previously counseled college and seminary students and worked as a youth sponsor. She provides care in English and Chinese, including individual consultations for emotional, relational and spiritual issues, couples consultations, including pre-marital coaching, teambuilding assessments and coaching, and consultations with children, adolescents, and families.

Jin Ruh-Shan was born in Taiwan, but her parents are both from Mainland China. She went to Fu Jen University and studied German, graduating with a bachelor of arts in 1974. In 1975 she went to Germany to study German Language and Literature, and lived in Germany for eight years. She has taught German in the German Culture Centers in both Taipei and Kaohsiung, and also did some private tutoring.

She got married in 1980 while still in Germany. Her husband has a Doctorate of Industrial Chemistry which he earned while in Germany. She has three daughters, ages 23, 18, 17.

After she moved to Taichung, she wished she had an opportunity to serve in ministry, and also work. She met Steve in church, and then came to work in the center as a volunteer.

After several years as a volunteer and administrator, in 2002, Ruh-Shan began to provide Language Coaching to language learners in Taiwan.

Ruh-Shan is certified by the Center for Applied Linguistics of Georgetown University as a qualified CST [Chinese Speaking Test] evaluator for the SOPI (Simulated Oral Proficiency Interview). This evaluation can be taken up to every six months by a language learner, with the results providing input for continued progress in the language.

Steve holds a doctorate in ministry to marriage and family from Eastern University [DMin, 1990]. He has also studied at Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic [Certificate, 1987], Dallas Theological Seminary [ThM, 1984], and Rice University [BA, 1978]. He is an ordained evangelical pastor and is licensed as a marriage and family therapist in Hawaii. He is a clinical member and approved supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists [AAMFT].

Steve has previous caregiving experience in agency, private practice, and church contexts. He has also worked in business, ministry, and teaching.

Of course, every caregiver also draws from his or her own life experiences. Steve grew up as an international, and has experienced various losses, including the loss of stillborn infants, and the loss of terminally ill parents. He has been married to Laura since 1980, and is father to three adult children: Sarah, Joey, and Robby.

Steve is available to counsel both in English and his second language, Spanish. His Chinese is always in process!

Michael graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University, USA with a Master of Sciences [M.S.] in Marriage and Family Counseling [2002]. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree [MDiv] from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, USA [1991] and a B.S. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University [1984].

Michael is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists [AAMFT] and the Taiwan Association for Marriage and Family Counselors [TAMFC].

Michael and his wife Sharon have served in international ministry in Taiwan since 1992 where they work primarily to support local church leaders in developing new work. They have two children.

Ya-Rong [Maria] Cheng received her masters degree in counselor education from Illinois State University in 1992. She also holds a training certificate in Transactional Analysis [Taiwan Transactional Analysis Association, 1999] and a BA from Tam Kang University [1982]. Ya-Rong is licensed in Taiwan as a counseling psychologist [2005].

Ya-Rong has not only raised a family here in Taiwan, but also provided counseling care, first at Warm Life for Women, then at Morrison Christian Academy [high school counseling office], and especially at Teacher Chang. She grew up in southern Taiwan and now lives in Taichung with her husband, John Schirmer, and their two children, Janna and Jason.

Ya-Rong Cheng is a counseling associate of CCG. She is available to provide care in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, and English.

Vaughn Robart, MSW, MDiv is available for caregiving in English, with a particular interest in marriage and couples care, relational dynamics and conflict resolution. Besides caregiving, Vaughn has taught school and worked as a youth pastor.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Science Education from Greenville College in Illinois in 1989, his Master of Social Work [MSW] from the University of Kentucky in 1993 and a Master of Divinity [MDiv] from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1994. After graduate school, Vaughn and his wife moved to Moscow, Russia where they worked in an international school.

They returned to New York and Michigan where Vaughn served as a youth pastor for 10 years and started a family. They moved to Taichung in 2005 to take teaching positions at Morrison Academy. They now have 3 school-aged children. Vaughn is available for appointments on selected evenings and Saturdays or when school is not in session.

Justine Yu hold a master in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary [MS MFT, 06] and a bachelor degree from Wheaton College [2003]. Justine is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California [2009]. Justine is also certified as a Family Wellness Facilitator and certified as PREPARED ENRICH Marriage and Premarital counselor.

Justine has previous counseling experience in community mental health agency, school and church contexts especially in working with children, teens and parents. She has also provided workshop for professional, lay counselors and ministry setting in number of occasions.

Justine is a counseling associate at CCG and is available to counsel in English and Mandarin Chinese.
