Here are some of there areas where we need people who will come for the long
haul. These positions would all require some initial language study.
Church Planting and Development
Taiwan's focus is on urban church planting, though we also have some works
in rural areas and are working to strengthen some older churches. We are
committed to working in teams, usually consisting of both nationals and
missionaries, and work in close cooperation with our national Church
Association. Language students will be assigned part-time to one of these
teams for the latter part of their language study . The national church is
also asking for more help in teaching and training, both of lay leaders and
pastors. We are currently expanding our camping ministry to better serve the
church. We are asking for the following:
- Urban church planters
- Church workers with teaching and training skills
- Camp assistants
- Student workers in connection with church planting

Hospital
-
TEAM founded a hospital in Taitung, a relatively remote area on the
southeast coast, in the mid-60's. A national board now runs the hospital,
but TEAM is still involved. Current licensing regulations give priority to
those who are able to take the licensing exam in Chinese characters
(generally be native speakers), though it is possible to take the exam in
English. Needs at the hospital include all specialties.
